Dideoluwa Sotubo, MS, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Supervised by Katrina Landry, PhD, LPC-S
Dideoluwa Sotubo is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Nationally Certified Counselor who is deeply committed to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy for individuals from Black, Brown, and other marginalized communities. She believes that healing is most effective when clients feel truly seen, understood, and safe—and she brings this belief into every therapeutic relationship.
Dideoluwa earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in African American Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. During her undergraduate studies, she was actively involved in the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs, further deepening her commitment to advocacy, community empowerment, and the historical and systemic factors impacting people of color. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University.
Dideoluwa specializes in working with generational and complex trauma, particularly as it impacts individuals and families within BIPOC communities. She also works with teens and adults. She is passionate about helping clients explore how historical oppression, systemic inequities, family patterns, and cultural expectations shape their emotional experiences today. Her work centers on breaking cycles of trauma while honoring cultural identity, resilience, and strength.
As a Black woman and therapist, Dideoluwa brings both professional training and cultural attunement into the therapy space. She understands the nuanced experiences that many people of color face—experiences that are often difficult to articulate or feel misunderstood in traditional therapeutic settings. Clients often appreciate her ability to “get it” without requiring extensive explanation, creating a space where they can show up authentically and be met with empathy, respect, and validation.
Dideoluwa works collaboratively with clients to foster healing, self-awareness, and empowerment, helping them reconnect with their voice and move toward lives grounded in purpose and emotional freedom.
